From 34 planes, 13 will go between 2019 and 2022.
The remaining 21 will go between 2022 and 2024. They will be gradually replaced by a combination of A350-1000, 787-10 and 777.

Sad to see them go, but inevitable. A 747-400 just isn’t competitive in today’s market.

Upper deck of a BA 744 is a really nice way to travel. Lucky enough to do that a few times between ORD-LHR.
I would arrange my flights to be on the 744 over the 777 ( or 767).

Considering the first commercial flight was on 1/21/1970, it had one hell of a run as king of the sky. It outlasted many of it's competitors. Only the 737 has really been longer lasting.

I have never but always wanted to, looking less and less likely. Designed before planes were just cargo haulers designed to fit the most number of bodies in a given space.

As Demon said “King of the sky”
I changed my return flight route from europpomeet so I could fly on a -800.
